A delay, An Apology, and A Peak

So, we did have a successful (if you would want to call last week's session on Saturday successful) game session where some very interesting things happened.  And Tuesdays I have canceled until further notice because of lack of interest and personal schedule.  The holidays are coming and that always makes for a messy schedule.

Anyways, I'll give a quick summary of what happened in the last game meeting, but I think I will write one of the storyline posts after the 18th when we have more than 2 people play with a single turn each.  I so apologize to all those readers who have enjoyed the storyline posts but you will have to wait a little longer to see what is going on in the great Hepian Empire.

So, Saturday we started a new plot so all the continuity from the last group's plot is thrown out the window, though somethings remain the same.  First, Saturday's game takes place in Ranstoc, the industrial blue-collar town which sets on the western edge of Ranstoc Bay in West Hall.  We have the same defined places which we had in the last game.  Though, we have new characters, which if I had the character sheets in front of me I could put down their names.  Vague descriptions are good though.  The first character introduced is a foppish con artist and the other character introduced is a genius who secludes himself from the world in his shop.

The over-all plot focuses on an upcoming world's fair.  Apparently, this is the first world's fair that is easily accessible by the middle and poorer classes and takes place in a major kingdom.  In other words, this is the first public world's fair.  Nothing dubious yet!

Anyways, a more full storyline post will happen soon!  Keep watching!

New thus Far

So far, there isn't much new game play since the last time I wrote for game play.  Mainly because is seems like people suddenly have crazy schedules.  As always, I am on the search for new players.  I just hope I can find some people who don't have turbulent schedules.  Then again, I probably need to not have one myself.

So, I feel like I have been on an epic quest with ProFantasy and getting their products.  So far, they have been awesome, have sent the programs quicker than usual, but I still haven't gotten to use it.  This is partially do to the time factor that I have for myself.  If one notices that I usually write these blogs either late at night or while I am not working (like right now I have a touch of something and can't work).  Another is that they didn't send me the main program, Campaign Cartographer 3, that the rest of these programs use.  A slight shipping mistake, but then again they do offer the program to download off their sight.  I only wish my connection was reliable enough to do that.  Plus, I rather have the program in my hands on a hard copy just in case.

So, instead of sending me that, they sent me another cool program, Fractal Terrains - Random Planet Generator, which I will either have to send it back to them or pay to keep it.  Which I do not mind paying for it.  ProFantasy seems to me like a smaller company and I rather not cheat them out of any money.  I have moral issues with that.  Now if they were a huge company, then that might be a whole different can of worms.

Anyways, for that past few months I have been emailing a man named Ralf.  Not on purpose really but I am very sure he is the one who responds to the emails about shipping, billing, and all those other non-technical aspects.  Ralf has been awesome, nothing short of a top-notch representative of his company!  He is my new dream man... in a strictly platonic sort of way.  You know... err...  the type of guy who you wouldn't mind drinking with.... while on a double date.. with women... at a strip club... while watching the game...?  That sounds manly enough.  This is where I would insert the awkward silence and coughing.

So, I am waiting for the Campaign Cartographer before I start my mapping of madness.  I have been watching tutorials online and it seems like a pretty cool, but a tad complicated, program.  But once I get use to it I am sure that I will be able to do the most awesome things with it.  Like map butterfly wings and how to find unicorns in real life and... er... no, probably not.  But I will be able to make maps for my games!  Which is cool enough!  Oh and Dioramas!  Did I mention I got a diorama making program?  Could construct a city block!
